Leda and Steve will give an informal presentation on alpacas at 3pm and will be available to answer questions throughout the event.

Leda’s award-winning, limited edition photography is showing on exhibit in our DeWindt Gallery
March 14, 2010 through April 2, 2010.

Faraway Farm is home to a select herd of exceptional alpacas, all with gorgeous fleece, exemplary conformation and lovely, engaging personalities. Leda and Steve breed the finest quality alpacas and their farm store stocks a wide range of items made from their luxurious fleece.

Sitting on a hilltop in Westchester County, overlooking the rolling hills surrounding the Hudson River Valley, Faraway Farm is the perfect environment for raising alpacas. Leda and Steve take pride in giving their animals the utmost care through solid nutrition, a clean, healthy living environment, and conscientious individualized care.

Years ago, when Leda and Steve met their first alpacas, they were totally smitten. These lovely, exotic creatures enchanted them and there was no turning back! Alpacas are sensitive, intuitive, and oh-so-beautiful. Leda and Steve attended conferences, seminars and alpaca shows. They visited countless farms around the Northeast, and finally, after months of careful consideration, picked out their foundation herd.

Faraway Farm’s alpacas carry the bloodlines of some of the country’s most sought after genetics, including offspring of Bueno, Royal Fawn, Hemingway, Caligula, Macusani, Vengador, Legacy Gold, Snowmass Invincible, El Senor and Danko.

Shrub Oak Custom Framing will have for sale from March 14, 2010 through March 21, 2010 Faraway Farm’s gorgeous, soft alpaca garments — sweaters, shawls, hats, scarves, gloves and socks, as well as throws, handmade toys, and homegrown yarn.

In May of 2006 before his passing, the legendary soul singer James Brown was honored by the Visual Soul Project. Toni was one of a select group of artists chosen to participate. Her two portraits of James Brown were exhibited at the Lucy Craft Laney Museum in Augusta, Ga. as part of the celebration. Both portraits will be shown during “Actualizing”.
